Will Matt catch again in 2014?

Maybe that's why Britton has not pitched.

I think it's safe to say Matt wont catch rest of 2014.

I think it's safe to say that your Twitter super powers are better without annotations.

Why on Earth would the search for a backup catcher imply that Matt won't catch for the remainder of this season? Clevenger hasn't hit particularly well, and Joseph doesn't look like he belongs in the big leagues at all. It'd make sense for the team to look for an established backup, particularly if the guy plays solid defense.

Joseph called good games behind the plate (well with help) and good defensively. He just doesn't have the bat.

Showalter must not be impressed with Clevengers defense.
Joseph called good games behind the plate (well with help) and good defensively. He just doesn't have the bat.

They don't have the arm. Remember Buck has a thing about suppressing stolen bases.
